(You’ll cut multiples for the elephants and backgrounds at once and the assembly of angled pieces is both accurate and stress-free.) Grab bright pastels for the elephant bodies (pattern is layer-cake friendly) and soft neutrals prints for the backgrounds. Small buttons or fusible appliqués make wonderful eyes and the pinwheel blocks, held up by elephant trunks add a punch of playful color and movement.
